The swearing-in ceremony, held at 11 am, marked the culmination of Lalduhoma's political journey that began with his election as an MLA from Serchhip constituency in the Mizoram Assembly Elections 2023.

Securing a total of 8314 votes, Lalduhoma emerged victorious, garnering 2982 more votes than the second-best performer, J. Malsawmzuala Vanchhawng of the Mizo National Front.
