In UP, shocking visuals of an Ola cab driver being brutally assaulted by a group of four to six men have emerged from Faridabad Highway in Lucknow. The incident, triggered by an alleged minor altercation, took place on December 14, leaving the public outraged.
In the 41-second video posted on X, the assailants can be seen dragging and thrashing the cab driver with belts while he desperately tries to shield himself from the relentless attack. The exact cause of the altercation leading to this act of public violence remains unclear.
The 41-second video, shot by a bystander, features a white Wagon R with the license plate UP 32 RN 8193 parked on the side of the highway. As of now, the exact circumstances leading to the assault and the motive behind the public outrage against the cab driver remain unclear.
The Lucknow police have launched an investigation into the matter.
