A bike rider lost his life in a road accident, in the Katalia area of Salap, Howrah. The incident took place as sand unloading work was underway, with a vehicle illegally parked on Howrah Amta Road. Attempting to avoid the obstruction, the deceased named Ashish Mal collided with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction, leading to his tragic demise.
Following the accident, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene. The Domjur police station is currently investigating the matter and examining CCTV footage.
