In a noteworthy prelude to the forthcoming consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla at Ayodhya's Ram Janmbhoomi temple, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended Bhojpuri singer Swati Mishra for her devotional song 'Ram Aayenge.' Released on Mishra's YouTube channel in October 2023, the bhajan has amassed over 43 million views. PM Modi, expressing his admiration on his X platform, described the rendition as "mesmerising." The Prime Minister is scheduled to attend the inauguration on January 22, participating in the pran-pratishtha ceremony where he will perform rituals in the sanctum sanctorum of the newly built Ram Temple.
As preparations for the historic event unfold, the idol of Ram Lalla, crafted by renowned sculptor Arun Yogiraj from Karnataka, has been finalized for the consecration ceremony. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi confirmed the selection in a post on X, stating that the idol would be placed in the sanctum-sanctorum of the temple during the pran-pratishtha ceremony. With over 7,000 guests, including 3,000 VVIPs, invited to the event, preparations also include the development of tent cities in Ayodhya to accommodate a multitude of devotees expected to witness the significant occasion.
