PM Modi interacts with IAF’s Shubhanshu Shukla; First Indian aboard ISS for 14-day space mission
Zahid Rameez, the Maldives politician who recently faced online criticism for derogatory remarks against India, particularly in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Lakshadweep visit, extended birthday wishes to India's External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, on Tuesday.
In a surprising turn of events, Rameez expressed, “Happy Birthday to the esteemed Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar! Wishing you a year filled with success and positive diplomatic endeavors,” in response to Jaishankar's acknowledgment of birthday wishes from PM Modi.
This gesture follows Rameez's earlier comments where he boasted about tourism services in the Maldives and took a dig at Modi's efforts to promote Lakshadweep. Rameez had remarked, “The move is great. However, the idea of competing with us is delusional. How can they provide the service we offer? How can they be so clean? The permanent smell in the rooms will be the biggest downfall.”
