Kolkata airport experienced significant disruptions in flight schedules due to dense fog since Monday night. The adverse weather conditions had led to a drop in visibility to a mere 25 meters by 2:30 am, impacting flight operations. However, there was a gradual improvement, with visibility increasing to 150 meters by 5:30 am and further rising to 300 meters by eight in the morning. Despite the improvements, numerous flights faced delays at Kolkata airport.
The dense fog, a common winter occurrence, resulted in delayed take-offs for several flights, causing inconvenience for passengers.
