The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), operating under the Ministry of Labour and Employment of the Government of India, has announced that it will no longer consider Aadhaar cards as valid proof for the date of birth.

EPFO has directed its zonal and regional offices to implement these guidelines widely, and necessary modifications in the application software will be made by the Internal System Division (ISD).
