BJP urges public holiday in WB on January 22 for Shri Ram temple consecration

The Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded that January 22 be declared a public holiday in West Bengal on the day of the consecration of the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Party state president Sukanta Majumdar wrote a letter to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in this regard on Friday. It has been said in the letter that January 22 is a day to glorify the historical traditions of India. Therefore, a holiday should be declared in West Bengal. Sukanat has written that through this, the new generation will get a chance to be proud of the civilization and culture of their country.

It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced to hold a Sadbhavna rally in the entire state, including the capital Kolkata, on the day of Pran Pratistha. On that day, many programs focusing on Lord Ram are to be organized in many parts of the state. Apart from this, a day before, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that she would give holidays to government employees of the Sikh community every year on the occasion of Prakash Parv.
