India beats Bangladesh by 7 wickets in first T20, chase down total in 11.5 overs
Amidst swirling speculations of internal discord within the Trinamool Congress (TMC), the party's national general secretary, Abhishek Banerjee, asserted on Saturday that there are no such factions within the ruling party in West Bengal.
Addressing rumors of purported differences between him and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee, Abhishek Banerjee categorically stated, "There are no factions in the TMC. Differences in our approach do not imply personal or political disagreements with Mamata Banerjee."
Speculations had been rife regarding potential rifts between Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her nephew Abhishek Banerjee, particularly concerning the latter's emphasis on age-related considerations in party deliberations. However, Abhishek Banerjee clarified that such discussions do not signify any underlying disagreements with Mamata Banerjee.
The rumors gained traction earlier this month when Abhishek Banerjee was notably absent from the dais during Mamata Banerjee's 48-hour sit-in protest against the Centre, demanding the release of MGNREGA funds, leading to heightened conjecture regarding internal dynamics within the TMC leadership.
