This clash marks a continuation of previous confrontations, with Wednesday witnessing a similar incident followed by police firing tear gas shells, heightening panic among the farmers. In light of the escalating situation, Delhi Police have heightened security measures across the national capital ahead of the 'Bharat Bandh' called by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) to press for their demands, including a legal assurance of minimum support price for crops.
Meanwhile, amidst the volatile atmosphere, efforts towards resolution continue, as another round of discussions between farmer representatives and Union Ministers is scheduled for February 18, following reportedly positive engagements between the two parties during the recent talks held on Thursday-Friday night.
