PM will offer Anjali to Maa Durga this Ashtami in Kolkata, receives multiple invitations
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took to social media on Tuesday, sharing a video where a police official accused BJP members of labeling him a 'Khalistani'.
The incident occurred in Dhamakhali, where IPS officer Jaspreet Singh, deputed at Dhamakhali to prevent opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari's visit to Sandeshkhali, was reportedly called a 'Khalistani' by BJP activists.
In the video Singh can be heard saying, "I will take action on this. Just because I am wearing a turban, you are saying this. If I was not wearing a turban, would you call me a Khalistani? You cannot say this about my religion."
Lashing out at the BJP, CM wrote, "Today, the BJP's divisive politics has shamelessly overstepped constitutional boundaries. As per @BJP4India every person wearing a TURBAN is a KHALISTANI."
However the BJP has denied the allegation accusing the cop of creating an issue.
