A late-night fire broke out in three shops situated at a prominent crossroads in Chandrakona town, triggering a sense of alarm among residents of Garbeta Block 3 in Paschim Medinipur district. Initial reports suggest the fire, suspected to have originated from a short circuit, rapidly engulfed the shops, causing substantial damage.
Despite the swift intervention of local residents, the fire brigade was summoned to the scene, managing to extinguish the flames after an hour-long effort. Authorities from Garbeta and Chandrakona police stations arrived to investigate the incident, focusing on determining the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of the damage incurred.
