Tragic road accident in Madhya Pradesh's Dindori district claims 14 lives

A tragic road accident unfolded in Madhya Pradesh's Dindori district, resulting in the loss of 14 lives, including 8 women, while leaving 21 others injured. The incident occurred in the Shahpura police station area, where a pickup truck carrying passengers overturned, leading to the fatal crash. The victims, who were returning from a baby shower event, were rushed to Shahpura Community Health Centre for treatment, as the local authorities grappled with the aftermath of the devastating accident.

Expressing sorrow over the tragedy, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav pledged financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the deceased, underscoring the state's commitment to support those affected by the calamity. Additionally, Cabinet Minister Sampatiya Uike is slated to arrive in Dindori to assess the situation firsthand, signaling the government's proactive response to the crisis. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed grief over this road accident. The Prime Minister said,"The road accident in Dindori, Madhya Pradesh is extremely sad. My condolences are with the bereaved family. May God give them strength in this difficult time.
