At least 10 individuals lost their lives in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur when a bus, carrying over 30 passengers, caught fire upon contact with an 11,000-volt electricity wire. The tragic incident occurred near the Mardah police station area, where a private bus, transporting wedding attendees from Mau, collided with the high-tension wire. Due to the current flowing through the bus, passengers were unable to escape, leading to fears of multiple fatalities.
Prompt response from locals and authorities enabled the swift rescue of survivors trapped within the burning bus. Videos capturing the fiery scene circulated on social media platforms, depicting the intensity of the blaze. The rescued individuals were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.
