In a concerning incident, two buses traveling from Laketown to the airport, collided near Kestpur after departing from Ultadanga. According to eyewitness accounts from passengers on board, one bus collided with the rear of the other, resulting in injuries to 15 to 20 passengers.
Subsequently, one of the buses fled the scene following the collision, leaving the injured passengers to be attended to by emergency responders.Local residents and passengers immediately notified authorities, prompting a response from emergency services including the police and medical personnel.
The injured passengers were taken to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention and first aid.
