JMM MLA Sita Soren resigns from the party

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) party grapples with internal discord as MLA Sita Soren resigns, dealing a significant blow just before the Lok Sabha elections. Sita Soren's resignation stems from her dissatisfaction with not being appointed to the cabinet, reflecting simmering tensions within the party. As the elder daughter-in-law of the Soren family, she is the sister-in-law of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren and the wife of his elder brother Durga Soren, holding the MLA seat for Jama assembly constituency.

Sita Soren's emotional resignation letter addressed to JMM supremo Shibu Soren highlights her sadness over the decision. Despite her three-time tenure as an MLA and her position as the working president of the JMM party, the party's response to her resignation remains undisclosed.
