Prime accused in Baba Siddique's murder case arrested, 2 others nabbed
The Election Commission (EC) has taken action against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi minister Atishi, issuing a show cause notice in response to her recent claims against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Atishi had alleged that the BJP approached her and three other AAP leaders—Saurabh Bharadwaj, Raghav Chadha, and Durgesh Pathak—with an offer to join their ranks.
In the notice, the EC has demanded Atishi to provide concrete evidence to substantiate her claims of being approached by the BJP. Atishi had further stated that the BJP made the offer through a "very close" individual, presenting her with the choice to either join their party or face potential arrest by the Enforcement Directorate within a month.
Responding to Atishi's claims, Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva announced on Wednesday that a defamation notice has been sent to her, demanding a public apology for her statements against the BJP.
