Ex-DGP Vijay Kumar and wife joins BJP in Lucknow

Former Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttar Pradesh, Vijay Kumar, alongside his wife, formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Lucknow, under the patronage of Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak. Their induction into the party coincided with a notable influx of leaders from the Samajwadi Party and Congress, all converging to join the BJP ranks at the state office in Lucknow. Expressing his motivation for joining BJP, Vijay Kumar emphasized the perceived improvement in law and order under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and the Chief Minister, expressing his intent to contribute more effectively towards the nation's progress through party membership.
