Ahead of the IPL 2024 match against Kolkata Knight Riders, a conversation between Rohit Sharma and Abhishek Nayar surfaced, hinting at Sharma's potential retirement from Mumbai Indians. Despite being taken down, another video emerged before the game against Lucknow Super Giants, where Sharma was seen objecting to the recording of his conversation with Dhawal Kulkarni. Despite his on-field performance, where he scored 417 runs in 14 matches, Sharma's focus shifted towards the breach of privacy issue, highlighting the intrusive nature of media coverage on cricketers' personal lives.
