Suvendu Adhikari, Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Assembly, cast his vote for the Lok Sabha elections at a polling station in Nandigram, West Bengal, during the ongoing sixth phase of voting. The voting process spans across 58 parliamentary constituencies spread over six states and two Union Territories, conducted under tight security and arrangements. Adhikari expressed his support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and emphasized his vote for the development of India.
Adhikari's statement after casting his vote highlights his choice for Modi, endorsing the vision of "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India) and a strong nation. He stressed the equal importance of every voter's role in the democratic process, stating, "Those who are voting in the sixth phase are all equal according to the Indian Constitution. Everyone has to queue up before the polling booth and cast his vote."
