Governor Bose finally allows TMC MLAs to take oath in Assembly
As of 5 p.m., a voter turnout of 58.3% was recorded across seven states and Chandigarh in the ongoing elections. Bihar reported the lowest voter turnout with just over 48.9%, while West Bengal showcased a robust participation rate of 69.89%.
In West Bengal, the constituencies reported the following turnout rates: Dum Dum at 67.60%, Barasat at 71.80%, Basirhat at 76.56%, Jaynagar SC at 73.44%, Mathurapur SC at 74.13%, Diamond Harbour at 72.87%, Jadavpur at 70.41%, Kolkata South at 60.88%, and Kolkata North at 59.23%.
Other states reported the following turnout: Jharkhand at 68%, Chandigarh at 62.8%, Himachal Pradesh at 66.6%, Odisha at 62.5%, Punjab at 55.2%, and Uttar Pradesh at 54.0%.
