On Sunday morning, PM Modi spoke to the team, praising their exceptional performance throughout the tournament. In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Modi expressed his admiration for outgoing head coach Rahul Dravid, captain Rohit Sharma, and star batsman Virat Kohli, whose leadership and contributions were pivotal in clinching the title.

PM Modi highlighted the impressive performances of key players, including Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, and Jaspreet Bumrah, who played crucial roles in the final. Addressing Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who both announced their retirement from T20 internationals following the victory, Modi praised their remarkable careers. "Dear @ImRo45, You are excellence personified," Modi wrote, and to Kohli, he said, "Like the innings in the Finals, you have anchored Indian batting splendidly." Modi also commended Rahul Dravid’s coaching, noting his strategic insights and dedication in shaping the team's success.
