Hemant Soren is set to return as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. He was released from prison after 5 months. This change of guard has been decided after the INDI bloc MLAs and leaders reached a consensus, said reports. He will be sworn-in on July 5th.
Hemant was released from jail last month after the Jharkhand High Court granted him bail. He was jailed in connection with a money laundering case linked to an alleged land-grabbing scam.
Incumbent CM Champai Soren is expected to submit his resignation to the Governor by late evening at around 8 pm, the sources said.
The INDIA bloc's meeting was held at the CM's residence in Ranchi. This is the 3rd time that Hemant Soren will be sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand.
