India's young batting sensation Abhishek Sharma has proved his mantle during the second T20I against Zimbabwe. Getting over his duck in the first encounter, Sharma smashed his maiden century in just 46 balls. With this, Sharma has equaled the record of KL Rahul of 3rd fastest hundred in T20Is by Indian batsmen.
During his knock, Sharma smashed 7 fours and 8 sixes. He raced to his first international century with a strike rate of 212.77. Unfortunately, his astonishing inning stopped on the next ball where he played the shot into Dion Myers hand on Wellington Masakadza's delivery.
Earlier, India captain Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to bat. After losing the first game by 13 runs, the Indian team dropped Khaleel Ahmed from the playing XI and handed Sai Sudharsan a debut. Khaleel had conceded 28 runs in his three overs in the first T20I.
