Sodepur flyover to shut every weekend from July 19 for urgent structural repairs
A hit-and-run case has been reported in Kolkata as a car knocked 4 policemen and a few pedestrians on Camac Street and Middleton Road crossing. According to the reports, a car bearing a Telangana number was stopped during a traffic check at the crossing. However, the driver tried to flee and knocked down the 4 cops.
Three of the injured personnel were hospitalized and were released later after first aid. Among them was a home guard and two sergeants. Three pedestrians also suffered minor injuries as the car attempted to escape.
Following this, the police hunted down the vehicle and arrested the driver. A case has been registered against the driver at the Shakespeare Sarani Police Station. Further investigation is underway.
