A joyous wedding celebration turned into a scene of mourning in Bihar's Patna after indiscriminate gunfire erupted during the ceremony, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. The incident occurred early Friday morning at the Rudra Marriage Hall, where a wedding procession from Malaypur, Jamui, was underway.
The deceased, identified as Golden Singh and Shravan Singh, were relatives of the groom, Amit Kumar Singh. Golden was the brother of the groom, while Shravan was his brother-in-law. Eyewitnesses reported that the festive atmosphere was shattered around 3 AM when gunshots rang out, leading to chaos and panic among the attendees.
Residents and police confirmed that six bullet casings were recovered from the scene. Many guests fled in fear as the situation escalated, complicating efforts for authorities to gather information. The police are actively interrogating individuals connected to both the bride and groom’s families as part of their investigation.
