At least seven wagons of a freight train derailed on Delhi-Lucknow railway line near Amroha in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. No loss of life was reported, Amroha police said. The Northern Railway CPRO said that the accident happened at the Amrohi Yard on the Ghaziabad-Moradabad section.
The accident has disrupted trains' movement on the Ghaziabad-Moradabad section route, and trains are being diverted to the alternative route Moradabad-Saharanpur-Meerut-Ghaziabad.

Meanwhile, Amroha police said an adequate police force was present on the spot along with officers/employees of other concerned departments. There was no loss of life, and the law and order situation was normal.
Earlier on Thursday, at least four people were killed and 20 others injured after multiple coaches of the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailed near Gonda in Uttar Pradesh.
