A newly married Indian-origin man, Gavin Dasaur, was shot dead in a suspected road rage incident in Indianapolis, Indiana. The tragedy occurred on July 16 while Dasaur, originally from Agra, was returning home with his Mexican wife, Viviana ZaMora. Following an argument with a pick-up truck driver at an intersection, Dasaur was shot. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. "I held him as he bled out and I was waiting for the ambulance," said Cinthya ZaMora, the victim's widow, as reported by local media.
The police investigation revealed that Dasaur approached the truck shouting with a gun in his hand, punched the vehicle's door, and shouted at the driver, who then fired multiple shots in self-defense. The entire incident was captured on camera. "Upon further investigation and after consultation with Marion County Prosecutor's Office, that individual was released," stated a police spokesperson. Dasaur's wife, grieving deeply, said, "He did not deserve to die this way. It’s such a tragedy that my husband was murdered in cold blood. As a grieving widow, my heart is shattered, and my world will never be the same."
