Guv calls Mamata 'Lady Macbeth of Bengal', says will socially boycott her
In a public function held in Barhait, Jharkhand, Chief Minister Hemant Soren of the JMM-Congress-RJD coalition issued a stern warning to the BJP regarding the upcoming assembly elections. Soren criticized the BJP for its focus on communal politics, accusing the opposition party of obstructing state welfare schemes and playing the "Hindu-Muslim" card to distract from real issues. He stated, "Their only work is to do Hindu-Muslim, Hindu-Muslim... If they continue doing it in the assembly elections, then they will not even find people to carry their party flags in near future.”
Soren’s comments come amid accusations from BJP leaders against his government, including claims of aiding “love jihad” and “land jihad” and protecting the interests of Muslim infiltrators. The BJP's recent poor performance in the Lok Sabha elections, where it lost all five ST-reserved seats in Jharkhand, has intensified political tensions. Soren, who was recently released on bail in a money laundering case, emphasized that continued communal rhetoric could lead to further losses for the BJP in the state.
