The Cyber Crime Police Station (CID) of West Bengal has arrested two members of an organized gang who cheated many people in the name of cryptocurrency from Haryana and Delhi. Both have been kept in CID custody for 12 days on transit remand.
In a statement issued by the Bengal CID on Wednesday, it has been told that Manish Kumar has been arrested from Faridabad in Haryana and Satyendra Mahato from Nihar Vihar in Delhi. This arrest has been made under case number 53/23 of Chandannagar Cyber Crime Police Station.
The CID team conducted an in-depth technical analysis to arrest the accused and then arrested them. They are accused of cheating people across the country in the name of crypto investment. With this important action of the Cyber Crime Police Station, it is expected that more organized criminals will be caught and such fraud will be curbed.
The police have appealed to the people to be cautious of such investment offers and immediately inform the police about any suspicious activity.
