Bengal Govt reshuffles 8 IAS officers | See List

In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the West Bengal government has announced the transfer of several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The following officers have been reassigned to new roles:

  • Amit Roy Choudhary has been appointed as the Special Secretary of the Higher Education Department.
  • Sheeladitya Basu Roy will now serve as the Special Secretary of the PE-R Department.
  • Joyshi Das Gupta has been transferred to the role of Special Secretary of the Technical Education Department.
  • Ghulam Ansari has taken over as the Principal Secretary of the Urban Development Department.
  • Vinod Kumar is now the Principal Secretary of the School Education Department.
  • P B Salem will hold the additional charge as Secretary of Madrasa, while also being associated with the Chief Minister's Office (CMO).
  • Saumya Purkait has been appointed as the Senior Special Secretary of the State Gazettes.
  • Manish Jain will now serve as the Principal Secretary of the North Bengal Development Department.
