NCP leader Baba Siddique shot multiple times and dies in Mumbai Hospital
On Wednesday evening at around 6:45 pm, a high-tension wire fell onto the Patna-Gaya railway line near Niazipur Halt in Jehanabad district, Bihar. The wire, carrying 25,000 volts of electricity, was brought down by the fall of a Sheesham tree.
The incident caused flames to erupt when the wire came into contact with the railway track. Fortunately, no major accidents occurred as there were no trains or people in the vicinity at the time of the wire’s fall.
The disruption was significant as it affected the operations of several express and passenger trains, including those bound for Secunderabad. A passenger train had just passed through the line about 15 minutes before the wire fell, and another train was approaching Niazipur Halt.
If the train had been at a halt or on the platform during the incident, it could have resulted in a serious accident with potential casualties. At 9:45 pm, SS Engineer Ravi Shankar, who was present at the spot, said that the line had been cleared.
