2 groups clash over Ganesh puja chanda in Kolkata's Mominpore; 9 arrested

A violent clash broke out on Wednesday in Kolkata's Mominpore over Ganesh Puja Chanda between two groups. According to reports, two groups led by Sunil Bind and Pappi Dhanuk clash with each other at 20, Coal Berth. Several people from both sides suffered injuries.

Cops from South Port Police Station rushed to the spot and intervened in the matter immediately. Both sides submitted complaints at the police station. Based on complaints of Sanjay Paswan a case under various sections of the BNS was registered. Sony Bind, the wife of Sunil, also complained.

As many as 9 people were arrested by the police from both sides. They have been identified as Sunil Bind (32) alias Bitna, Pramod Shaw (26) alias Kalu, Ajit Kr. Rajak (20), Rahul Kr. Paswan (22), Biswajit Thakur (26), Jamir Naskar (19) alias Chotu, Sanjay Paswan (47), Rittik Rajbhar (25), and Sanjay Rajbhar (40).
