In a significant development amid ongoing protests over the RG Kar scandal, police have arrested CPM youth leader Kaltan Dasgupta. His arrest follows the release of a viral audio clip suggesting a conspiracy to attack the junior doctors protesting at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
The audio clip, made public by Trinamool Congress leader Kunal Ghosh, features a conversation between two individuals planning the attack. The voices in the clip were identified as 'S' and 'K'. Police have confirmed that 'S' is Sarjan Das, who has already been arrested. The second voice, identified as 'K', has been linked to Kaltan Dasgupta, leading to his arrest on Saturday.
