South Bengal gets new rail connectivity: Purulia-Bankura-Howrah MEMU service inaugurated today
Amid a significant controversy surrounding the alleged discovery of animal fat in the famous Tirupati temple laddoos, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has called for the establishment of a ‘Sanatana Dharma Rakshana Board.’ This announcement was made on Friday, reflecting his concerns over what he describes as the desecration of Sanatana Dharma.
Kalyan took to X to express his sentiments, stating, “...the time has come to constitute a ‘Sanatana Dharma Rakshana Board’ at a national level to look into all the issues related to temples in entire Bharath.” His comments come in response to claims made by the ruling Telugu Desam Party, which alleged that the revered Tirupati laddoos contained “beef tallow,” “pig lard,” and fish oil, as reported by a laboratory in Gujarat.
Expressing his distress over these allegations, Kalyan criticized the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Board (TTD), which was established by the YCP government, and held it responsible for the situation. He emphasized the need for stringent actions against those involved and called for a collaborative effort among policymakers, citizens, and the judiciary to address religious desecration through the proposed board.
“This throws light on many issues surrounding the desecration of temples, its land issues, and other dharmic practices,” Kalyan remarked, underlining the urgency of safeguarding religious traditions and practices in the country. His proposal has sparked conversations about the importance of preserving religious integrity in the face of controversies.
