Another accident occurred on the Maa flyover near Science City in Kolkata on Wednesday morning, causing a brief traffic disruption in the area. A speeding car reportedly lost control and collided with the rear of a taxi. The collision resulted in injuries to the car’s driver, who was promptly taken to the National Medical College for medical attention. Fortunately, his injuries are not considered serious.
Eyewitnesses stated that the car was moving at high speed when it suddenly veered and struck the taxi from behind, causing significant damage to the car's front section. Police quickly arrived at the scene, seized the car, and launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
Due to the collision, traffic flow around the flyover was affected for some time as vehicles slowed to maneuver around the site. However, once the car was removed by police, normal traffic resumed in the area.
