A massive fire broke out at a plastic factory near Gagan More in Amta Block 1. According to local sources, the factory manufactures plastic products. Around 1 AM on Tuesday night, a worker who was sleeping inside the factory noticed the fire. He immediately informed the nearby workers and the factory owner. Upon receiving the alert, the fire department dispatched five fire tenders, which took more than three hours to bring the blaze under control.
Amta police station personnel were present at the scene. Upon hearing the news late at night, Rajshree Bag, chairman of the Amta 1 Panchayat Samiti, Amta 1 BDO Adritha Samaddar, Amta Gram Panchayat head Mallik Sahu, and Panchayat Samiti member Samanta Sahu also arrived at the site.
There have been no reports of casualties or injuries in the incident. However, the exact cause of the fire remains unclear. Preliminary assessments suggest that a short circuit may have triggered the blaze. The factory owner has not yet issued any statement regarding the extent of the damage.
