A 22-year-old man, identified as Arbind Kumar, was found hanging from an extended iron rod of an oil tanker near Taratala Road on Monday night. The body was discovered around 8 PM by passers-by near the boundary wall of Nature Park, opposite Central Warehouse. Police recovered his Aadhar Card and Driving License, confirming his identity as a resident of Baghakol, Maker police station area, in Bihar’s Saran district. A cream-colored muffler was found tied around his neck, with a non-continuous ligature mark. Saliva was noticed rolling down from his mouth. His body was taken to SSKM Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Officers from Garden Reach police station registered a case under UD Case No. 4/25 dated February 26. No complaints have been filed so far, and initial findings have not indicated any signs of foul play. However, authorities have seized the cream-colored muffler, his mobile phone, and identity documents from the scene for further examination. An inquest and post-mortem examination are being arranged to determine the exact cause of death.
Police are analyzing CCTV footage from the area and questioning locals to gather more details. Investigators are looking into Kumar’s background, recent activities, and possible reasons that led to the incident.
