Constable attempts suicide in Imambara Hospital lockup, critical in ICU

A police officer attempted suicide by shooting himself with his service revolver in the police lockup of Imambara Hospital. Constable Himanshu Majhi has been admitted to the ICU in critical condition. He resided in the barracks of Chandannagar Police Lines. There was a posting in the Rifle section. He was on night duty in the lockup yesterday. Chandannagar Police Commissioner Amit P. Jhawalgi and senior officers reached the hospital to investigate the incident.
