Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee recently announced in various meetings that recruitment in the police force will take place very soon. A proposal for appointments had also been sent from Lalbazar. Now, Nabanna has approved that proposal. It has reached Lalbazar, and from this, it has been confirmed that 500 home guards will be recruited in Kolkata Police. This news has now become public, which is great news for employment opportunities.
According to Lalbazar sources, the recruitment will take place at the beginning of this financial year. Meanwhile, police sources indicate that 10 percent of the posts in this recruitment will be reserved for civic volunteers already serving in Kolkata Police and the state police. This has been mentioned in the appointment letter. As a result, 450 new individuals will be hired, while the remaining 50 positions will be filled by eligible civic volunteers already in service.
Sources state that Kolkata Police Commissioner Manoj Verma will form a nomination committee for the recruitment of these home guards. However, according to Lalbazar sources, not only will a nomination committee be formed, but eligible candidates will also have to take a written examination worth 60 marks.
