Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, 73, was admitted to AIIMS Delhi early Sunday morning after experiencing uneasiness and chest pain. He was brought to the hospital around 2 am and admitted to the Critical Care Unit (CCU) under the supervision of Dr. Rajiv Narang, Head of the Cardiology Department. Medical teams are conducting necessary tests and closely monitoring his condition.
According to sources, Dhankhar remains stable and under observation. No official statement has been issued regarding his diagnosis, but doctors continue to assess his health. Union Minister JP Nadda visited AIIMS to inquire about his condition. His hospitalization follows a series of public engagements, including his recent presence at the 150th Advent Commemoration of Gaudiya Mission's founder Acharya Srila Prabhupad.
Medical officials have not disclosed further details on his treatment, but reports indicate that a specialized team is overseeing his care. The Vice President’s schedule remains uncertain as doctors evaluate his recovery. Security has been tightened at AIIMS, with key government officials being briefed on his health status.
