Doctors march to CBI office demanding action in RG Kar’s rape-murder case after 8 months
A football match dispute in Malimukundi village under Chandaneswar Police Station, Bhangar, South 24 Parganas, escalated into a violent attack, leaving six members of a family injured. The incident occurred when the sons of local residents Haran Molla and Layep Molla clashed during the game. As tensions rose, an argument broke out between the families, leading to an alleged attack by Layep Molla’s relatives, who reportedly used sharp weapons. Among the injured is a minor, who sustained serious wounds and is in critical condition.
The victims were initially taken to Nalmuri Hospital for treatment. However, due to the severity of their injuries, the minor and another individual were transferred to Chittaranjan Hospital in Kolkata for specialized medical care. The attack has created tension in the village, with residents fearing further violence. No official statements have been released regarding the motive behind the assault beyond the reported football dispute.
Chandaneswar Police reached the scene following the attack and launched an investigation. Authorities confirmed that the accused are absconding, and search operations are underway to locate them. Security measures have been intensified in Malimukundi village to prevent any further escalation. Police are recording statements from the injured and eyewitnesses to ascertain the sequence of events leading to the attack.
