A controversy erupted at Jadavpur University after an “Azad Kashmir” poster appeared on campus. Former MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury alleged the ruling party’s involvement, stating, “In Delhi, it's Modi ji; in Bengal, it's Didi ji—both are using the same playbook.” He compared it to past JNU controversies, claiming similar tactics were used against students. The BJP called it “anti-national propaganda,” while the TMC denied involvement and alleged a conspiracy. Student organizations condemned the issue as a distraction from academic concerns. Authorities have yet to identify those responsible.
