A massive fire broke out near the Indian Oil Terminal in Deoghar’s Jasidih, spreading rapidly and reaching the premises of the petroleum storage and distribution facility. Fire engines have been deployed, and emergency measures are underway to prevent further escalation. Thick black smoke and high flames have been visible from a distance, prompting immediate response from authorities.
The fire started in the bushes of Badaladih village, located near the Jasidih Industrial Area, and quickly spread over a large area. The Indian Oil Corporation’s depot, which stores and distributes petrol, diesel, and other petroleum products in Jharkhand and surrounding regions, is in close proximity to the fire. Officials have confirmed that gas pipelines are located near the affected site, and efforts are being made to safeguard them.

A passenger and a goods train at Jasidih railway station, which is located near the fire site, have been moved to safer locations.

Multiple fire engines are working to contain the flames, while emergency response teams are monitoring the site. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Authorities have advised residents to follow safety instructions and cooperate with evacuation efforts.
Videos from the site show flames near storage containers and thick smoke rising over the area. In one video, police officials were seen urging villagers to evacuate, while some locals attempted to douse the flames with fire extinguishers.
