₹65 lakh seized as Bidhannagar Police bust illegal international call center in Sector V

Bidhannagar Police conducted a late-night raid at an illegal international call center in Sector V, recovering ₹60 lakh from the office and another ₹5 lakh from the residence of its alleged owner, Avinash Jaiswal, alias Piyush. Officers also seized multiple mobile phones, laptops, and digital devices suspected to contain evidence related to fraudulent activities. The call center reportedly operated for months, targeting foreign nationals using VoIP technology.

According to officials, the operation was based on specific intelligence. "The call center was engaged in illegal activities, and financial records are being examined," a senior police officer stated. The authorities suspect the involvement of a larger syndicate and are analyzing data from seized electronic devices. The police are also investigating potential money laundering links and undisclosed transactions connected to the operation.

Avinash Jaiswal, alias Piyush, along with two associates, has been arrested and will be presented in court today. The police are tracking other individuals linked to the call center. The seizure process is ongoing, and further legal action will be taken based on forensic examination of the recovered materials.
