Popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia has made his return to Instagram over a month after facing severe backlash for his controversial remarks on comedian Samay Raina’s YouTube show India’s Got Latent. The influencer, known for his podcast The Ranveer Show (TRS), posted a series of pictures on Instagram, marking a fresh start in his journey.
The pictures featured moments with his family, team, and pet dog, along with a contemplative shot of him sitting alone with his laptop. The caption read: “Thank you to my loved ones. Thank you, universe. A new blessed chapter begins - Rebirth…” This comes after an extended period of online scrutiny, criticism, and legal troubles following his comments about parents and sex, which sparked widespread outrage.
In addition to his Instagram post, Allahbadia shared an emotional video on YouTube addressing the controversy and his personal transformation. He expressed gratitude towards his supporters and acknowledged the difficulties he faced, including online hate, threats, and extensive media coverage. He emphasized that this phase was a lesson in resilience and self-awareness.
Acknowledging his mistake, Allahbadia issued a heartfelt apology, stating, "In our country, people consider me as their family member, their son, their brother. I apologise to all of them." He further assured his audience that he would be more mindful and responsible with his content moving forward. He also promised a revamped approach to his podcast, which he intends to relaunch soon.
He reflected on the impact of the controversy on his mental health and shared that meditation and spiritual practices helped him navigate this turbulent phase. "I don't see this phase as a punishment but a transformation, a learning. God has given me so much so far, so I will consider this as a gift for my growth," he said.
Ending on a hopeful note, the influencer requested his audience to give him another chance, emphasizing his passion for content creation and exploring India's history and culture. Whether his audience will accept his apology and embrace his comeback remains to be seen.
