A shocking incident has rocked Gazole, Malda, with allegations of rape against Masudur Rahman, a Trinamool Congress panchayat member from the Alal area. The accused is alleged to have forcibly entered a woman's home and raped her on Sunday night.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 10 PM when Rahman entered the woman's residence, where she was alone. Upon hearing her screams, her father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, and neighbors rushed to the scene. They managed to apprehend the accused as he attempted to flee.
However, the situation escalated dramatically when Rahman's family members and followers arrived. They allegedly launched a violent assault on the victim's family, severely beating them and forcibly taking Rahman away from the scene.
The victims, who were attempting to seek medical treatment at Gazole Hospital and file a police complaint, were reportedly attacked a second time by the same group. They eventually managed to receive primary medical attention and have filed a written complaint at the Gazole Police Station.
