A woman collapsed from suspected heatstroke near the SSC Bhavan in Salt Lake, Kolkata, on Monday afternoon during a campaign for eligible job seekers. The incident occurred when the woman suddenly fell unconscious while walking along the road in the scorching heat. A large contingent of Bidhannagar Police was deployed for the campaign, and senior officers were present at the scene.
Upon noticing the woman in distress, senior police officers quickly stepped in to provide immediate assistance. They revived her by sprinkling water on her face. The woman regained consciousness after a short while and was then escorted by the officers to a nearby petrol pump for further care. Authorities believe the heat might have caused the woman to fall ill.
The Bidhannagar Police acted swiftly, ensuring the woman's well-being until she recovered. There were no reports of further complications, and the woman did not require hospitalization. The authorities have yet to provide details about her identity.
