An elderly couple died under mysterious circumstances in Guro village of Nabagram block in Murshidabad district. The mysterious deaths due to the consumption of pesticides have left the area in shock. A wave of mourning has spread throughout the locality.
The family is unable to understand the reason behind this decision. It is reported that late on Thursday night, the death of the Vidya couple caused a stir in Guro village of the Gudo Pashla area. The elderly couple has been identified as Shakti Haldar and Sadhana Haldar, both aged over sixty.
According to family sources, their only son is serving in the army. He had come home on leave. Around 1 a.m. on Thursday night, he suddenly learned that his parents had consumed pesticides.
