The 15098 Jammu Tawi-Bhagalpur Amarnath Express, scheduled to depart on April 29, 2025, and the 15097 Bhagalpur-Jammu Tawi Amarnath Express, scheduled for May 1, 2025, have been canceled due to Non-Interlocking (NI) work for the third-line construction between Gorakhpur and Gorakhpur Cantt. stations. This essential infrastructure upgrade is part of a broader effort to enhance railway network capacity in the region. The construction work will temporarily disrupt several major train routes, including the Amarnath Express.
As a result of the cancellations, passengers who had booked tickets for these trains will receive full refunds. Indian Railways has confirmed that the refund process is already underway. Travelers are also advised to explore alternative travel options. The third-line construction project, aimed at improving train traffic management, is expected to be completed in stages.
